About This Artwork

It was a rainy day in December. We were on our way though New Hope, PA when we heard the steam whistle of the Ivyland Express. We decided to stop and wait for the train to go by.

I used to think that I needed a sunny day to make a good image. Not anymore.

Yvonne Kunz is a retired nurse and a resident of Mercer County, New Jersey. She bought her first digital camera in 2009 and hasn’t put it down since.

“My favorite thing to photograph is, well, everything! My goal is to find the simple beauty around me and share it with others. I often find my best subjects in my backyard or down the road from my home. It seems I never need to go far to photograph something amazing.”

Yvonne is self-taught but she has been interested in art all her life. She has drifted from medium to another however photography has stayed with her the longest. And, happily, Yvonne doesn’t see an end in sight.

She hopes you enjoy what you see!
