About This Artwork

This is a modified image of a cardinal in my backyard.

Sometimes I’ll make an image that doesn’t come out sharp, but the composition is still interesting. I’ll play around with it to see if I can make it into something else. That is what I’ve done here.

I have a special fondness for cardinals. My mom-in-law loved them. Whenever I see one, I think of her.

Artist Info

Untitled design (52)

Yvonne Kunz is a retired nurse and a resident of Mercer County, New Jersey. She bought her first digital camera in 2009 and hasn’t put it down since.

“My favorite thing to photograph is, well, everything! My goal is to find the simple beauty around me and share it with others. I often find my best subjects in my backyard or down the road from my home. It seems I never need to go far to photograph something amazing.”

Yvonne is self-taught but she has been interested in art all her life. She has drifted from medium to another however photography has stayed with her the longest. And, happily, Yvonne doesn’t see an end in sight.

She hopes you enjoy what you see!
