About This Artwork

This artwork was inspired by the women in my family who loved to sew. As a child I would watch for as long as they allowed, waiting to be big enough to join them. Alas, it was not to be as it turned out I had absolutely no talent for sewing. So I do what I can and stitch materials together as an adult. Ok, ok, you caught me. I didn’t sew anything on this artwork at all. I carved into plaster poured onto fabric and had a darned good time doing it. So there.
