I took up abstract painting somewhat late in life. My mother was a talented artist, but she never sought to have her works presented to the public. I was not good at drawing and decided artistic photography was a better form of expression. However, I was inspired by some contemporary abstract paintings and decided it was something I might have a talent for. I have surprised myself (and my family members and friends) with some of my paintings.
I have been given recognition in several events recently. I had one of my paintings on display and sold at the Pour-d Gallery in Rockford MI. I describe myself as an emerging artist, and I am very confident that sooner or later I will be ‘discovered’ and that my artworks will get the recognition they deserve.
