Artist Info
I am an old fashion hands-on self-taught realistic artist. Been drawing and painting since 8 yrs old. No tracing, digital, or CGI etc. I began, by drawing figures from comic books, then newspapers, and magazines. My inspiration was Norman Rockefeller, his illustrations of everyday folk sparked my interest in portraying people. I am an animal lover and enjoy rendering domestic and or wildlife subjects.
I just turned 82 years old, born and raised in New Jersey, USA. Moved to Georgia in 1985. Went to Rutgers University in NJ. Father of two with 4 grandchildren. My entire career is mainly portraiture and commissioned work. Therefore, no trail of awards, although I did enter a color/graphite show with my drawing “The Chanter” and won 3rd prize over color pencil renderings.
I began a project named The Armed Forces & First Responders Hero Program” in 2020. I am honoring fallen heroes by donating graphite portraits to their families.
