While visiting a local farm with our Plein Air painting group, we had 3 adorable Alpacas to welcome us! Their inquisitive faces wondering why we were there, why we were talking to them, as well as, why we were photographing them. Although there were other animals on the farm, I couldn’t resist capturing the Alpacas on canvas.

Artist Info
Art has always been a passion and part of who I am, influencing many areas of my life. Having graduated
with a BFA degree from Tyler School of Art in Elkins Park, PA, I enjoyed the creativity of working as a professional graphic designer/illustrator for many years for advertising agencies, as well as, for personal clients.
Retired from my career, I am now enjoying the creativity of painting in oils and pastels. As a
resident of Bucks County, Pa, I am truly inspired by God's amazing creation in the beauty that
surrounds me in the gorgeous vistas, skies, farms, meadows, and streams. Capturing the light,
shadows, and vibrant colors of the landscape provide constant inspiration as I express this
beauty on canvas. As a member of the Peace Valley Plein Air Painters of Bucks County,
I am delighted to experience the joy of painting outdoors alongside fellow artists from Spring to
Fall.
In addition to painting landscapes, portraiture has become an area that fascinates me in the
challenge of capturing a personality, expression, and likeness of a model, while using oils,
pastels, and charcoal. Working from life is truly ideal, as I like to attend ongoing
drawing/painting sessions where there is a model, which in turn, enhances working from a
photograph in my studio. I am also inspired and challenged by painting still life set-ups and how
light plays upon objects, creating a myriad of reflections, shapes, and colors.
For the past three years, I have been teaching art to children and adults in my home studio. It
has truly been a rewarding experience to see others find joy and inspiration through art.
Continuing my study with notable and nationally known artist George Thompson, including
workshops with Peter Fiore and John Ennis has enabled me to develop my artistic skills even
further. As an award-winning artist, my work has been exhibited in local galleries, shows, and in
private collections. I am a member of the Doylestown Art League, New Hope Arts, Peace Valley
Plein Air Painters of Bucks County, and the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County
