About This Artwork

Last year I participated in painting at two local vineyards.

This event was sponsored by Arts & Cultural Council of

Bucks County ; Visit “Bucks County Wine & Art Trail” .

Grape vines do not begin to leaf out until May. In June

they begin to “set fruit” that’s when the grapes are formed

and change weekly from that point on.

When they are opaque I was a bit anxious “can I get the

color right”.       Note from ESA – Color is perfect!

Beth Schoenleber is an award-winning watercolorist and signature member in the Philadelphia Watercolor Society and Garden State Watercolor Society. Known for her sharp focus and detailed representation of her subjects, Beth enjoys exploring ordinary objects found in her everyday environment.

"When I find an interesting subject, I paint it. My subjects reflect something that is a flicker of a memory
or an emotion, and I try not to let that go by.”

“I prefer watercolor; there is a magic with this medium. But, sometimes, my ideas sing out for painting with
oils.”
