About This Artwork

October is my favorite month, lower temperatures

and less humidity…

I visited a farm with a large pumpkin patch and I chose to simplify the composition since I was painting on a 9×12 canvas board. As is my usual practice

I finished the painting in my studio.

Beth Schoenleber is an award-winning watercolorist and signature member in the Philadelphia Watercolor Society and Garden State Watercolor Society. Known for her sharp focus and detailed representation of her subjects, Beth enjoys exploring ordinary objects found in her everyday environment.

"When I find an interesting subject, I paint it. My subjects reflect something that is a flicker of a memory
or an emotion, and I try not to let that go by.”

“I prefer watercolor; there is a magic with this medium. But, sometimes, my ideas sing out for painting with
oils.”
