Creating art brings me such joy, especially when I paint outdoors. At that moment, it’s just me; God’s beautiful creation; and my paintbrush ready to capture whatever catches my eye. One of the best aspects of being an artist is how it changes how I view nature, people, and even ordinary objects. Things like hay bales glowing in the late afternoon sun, water lilies in my pond, an old rusty bucket, and I can’t forget my dog, Elliott. All these become an inspiration for a potential painting or drawing. My artwork is not defined by a specific subject matter or medium. I enjoy trying new things, like my newest interest, wax crayons. The mediums I work in include: oils, pastels, wax crayons, graphite/charcoal, and pen & ink. I focus primarily on landscapes and still life, however, I also draw detailed caricatures of people in graphite and pet portraits in artists’ wax crayons.

I have a BFA degree from Tyler School of Art and I am a graphic designer, however, I have enjoyed art since my childhood. My artwork has been in art shows (juried, non-juried, and in dual exhibitions with my mom, who is also an artist), published on a book cover; selected for printing on a coffee tin, postcards, notecards, etc.; in private collections. I am a member of the Arts and Cultural Council of Bucks County and the Lititz Art Association.
